Heather Roberts, BEd (Hons) is an accredited person-centred counsellor having completed an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, as well as embarking on a post-qualifying Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People.
Heather has completed an Advanced Certificate in Couple Counselling and has been accepted on a MSc Course studying Gestalt Therapy.
Heather has continued to develop her experience since qualification and has undertaken several training courses to support her work, including, more recently a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training model. She has established a thriving private practice, counselling adults, children and couples as well as working with children in schools in the Kent area and in GP practices.
She has experience volunteering for Family Matters, a charity, that counsels adults who have been sexually abused in childhood, the organisation and its volunteers have been recognised in the Kent County Council Volunteering Excellence Awards.
With training in Supervision, Heather also supervises counsellors, senior management and key workers in voluntary organisations.
